Frequently Asked Questions

What is Community Supported Agriculture?
As a member you purchase a 'share' from which you acquire a protion of locally grown fresh produce each week..

How much food am I going to get?
While actual yield is based on each individual growing season and weather conditions, in the past it has averaged approximately 15 lb/week.  While the early weeks are less in weight, the later weeks include squash, pumpkins and pototoes and exceed the average.

Do you offer 1/2 shares?

Yes we do.  The cost is $175 for 14 weeks.

Can I Get Extra In a Given Week?
Call for availability and price.  This will somewhat depend on weather during the growing season.

How will I know what I will get each week?
Check the website - the "This Week in your Bag" tab. There is list of what we will be planting on the FAQ page.

Can I visit the Farm?
Call any time to schedule a date, we love visitors.

What if I cannot pick up one week (vacation)?
We are unable to hold a share or double your produce for missed weeks.  Please have someone arrange to pick up your share if you are not able.

Can I reduce the cost of my share by working on the farm?
We offer a limited number of working shares.  These shares are not filled for 2017. Call for application.
Is the produce Organic?
We are not a certified organic farm. We do plant using companion planting techniques and we use natural growing practices. We avoid the use of harmful chemicals. Please feel free to speak to us about how we grow your produce.
